A total of 21 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) was reported here on Thursday, the highest recorded in a single day since the virus hit the province.

This brought the total number of confirmed Covid-19 in the province to 253 with 115 active cases.

Based on the report of the Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force, 10 of the new cases came from Concepcion town, seven from the city, and one each from Capas, Pura, Paniqui and Camiling.

The task force said most of the new cases have history of contact with Covid-19 patients.

Meanwhile, two patients have recovered from the dreaded disease — a 19-year-old employee from Barangay Sinigpit, Paniqui; and a 28-year-old jail officer from Barangay Poblacion, Camiling.

This brought the total number of recoveries to 128.

The total number of deaths, on the other hand, remained at 13. (PNA)
