Kim Kardashian-West announced on Wednesday that the long-running reality TV show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” (KUWTK) is set to end in 2021, after being on-air for fourteen years.
Centering on Kim Kardashian’s relationship with her family and friends, the reality show ran for 20 seasons and has featured the Jenners, partners, children, friends, and many more.
In the same statement, Kim thanked everyone who had been part of their stories on-screen. She added, “I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years.”

The early seasons of KUWTK focused on Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney and their romantic partners. Regardless of the negative critics, the reality show achieved huge rating that even made it one of E! Channel’s most successful shows. The Kardashians and Jenners have reset and inspired beauty trends. This included the Kylie Jenner’s Lip Challenge as well as Kim Kardashian’s overly toned butt.
The show also paved way for the business ventures of the Kardashian and the Jenners.
But why is it ending?
According to E! Channel, the Kardashian-Jenner family have decided to live their lives off-screen this time. Earlier this year, Kourtney revealed that we will not take part in the series because she was “feeling unfulfilled”.
Additionally, Rob Kardashian, the only brother in KUWTK, has also left the show years ago which is why viewers can rarely see him in the later episodes.
Despite its nearing end, avid fans of the sisters can still get their the Kardashian-Jenner fix through their official social media accounts.
