The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday reported three more Filipinos abroad contracting the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total tally to 9,896.

In its latest case bulletin, the DFA said the new confirmed Covid-19 cases are from the Asia Pacific region.

It added that there are an additional 19 DOH International Health Regulations-verified cases in the Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Europe.

Meanwhile, there are no new recoveries and no new fatalities reported.

The total number of new recoveries remains 5,842 and the death toll is at 725.

There are 3,329 Filipinos undergoing treatment abroad.

“As reported last light, the DFA has repatriated a total of 135,290 Filipinos since the Covid-19 outbreak. The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare,” the agency said.
