Tiffany Grace Uy, the University of the Philippines highest grade holder did it again as she graduated from the UP College of Medicine Class of 2020 with Latin Honors. Talk about goals, right? Not only was she recognized as the Magna Cum Laude, but she was also recognized as the class valedictorian.
Back in 2015 Tiffany graduated as Summa Cum Laude at the University of the Philippines with the course of BS Biology. She has scored an almost perfect grade of 1.004 general weighted average (GWA), which is the highest grade in the Philippines since the World War II.
Tiffany has always been an achiever all throughout her school days, from being a student council president in elementary and high school to graduating with honors in college.
But when we think that everything in her life is good and everything is like rainbows and sunshine, little did we know that she also had her own fair share of struggles in her life, just like everyone does. Back in 2010 she was diagnosed with Lupus. Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when the body’s immune system attacks the tissues and organs inside the body.
With her disease she almost gave up on her dreams because she was often at the hospital and she could not attend her classes which then resulted to her grades slowly fluctuating. But with the help of her family and loved ones, she regained here fighting spirit and continued with the battle.Since then she has been achieving great things in her life.
Tiffany Uy is just an example to everyone that whatever struggles you are facing right now, you’ll be able to get through it as long as you have faith in yourself.
