Gary Valenciano will render uplifting performances dedicated to millions of Filipinos affected by the pandemic in his upcoming benefit concert entitled “Faith, Hope, Love,” which streams live on ABS-CBN’s Facebook page and ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel this Saturday (June 20) at 9pm.
The online musical concert, a pre-Father’s Day treat from Mr. Pure Energy himself, seeks to help raise funds for ABS-CBN’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig.
The inspirational singer and unmatched performer will sing well-loved tunes that will stir faith, hope, and love among viewers in their homes.
Apart from the upcoming show, the OPM icon has espoused various musical projects to support Kapamilyas during the COVID-19 crisis. He took part in the “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig” fundraising concert held last March 22. He also recorded “Ililigtas Ka Niya” with fellow ABS-CBN artists, with song royalties donated for the same fundraising campaign.
The “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig” program started last March when the government first implemented the enhanced community quarantine. Proceeds are used to purchase food and other basic necessities to complement the relief efforts of various local government units in their respective communities. To date, the project has fed over 750,000 Filipino families in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.
The program is now on its second phase, “Isang Daan. Isang Pamilya.” (One hundred. One Family.), which aims to encourage individual donors to donate at least Php 100 or USD 2 which could feed one family. It will focus on individuals, ordinary Filipinos being able to help other Filipinos.
