Filipina R&B singer Kiana Valenciano is set to join artists from around the world in headlining the upcoming South By Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival happening in the United States next month.

“We are going to Austin @sxsw. I don’t know how to feel or act or breathe,” shared Kiana in an Instagram post.

Joining her is popular Filipino band Ben&Ben, who is also performing during the festival happening on March 16 to 22 in Austin, Texas.

The event is part of the annual SXSW Conference and Festivals that celebrates the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries across the globe. Today’s big stars who previously performed at Southby are Amy Winehouse, Bon Iver, A$AP Rocky, Coldplay, Khalid, and Billie Eilish.

Kiana’s parents are thrilled for this exciting opportunity for the ABS-CBN Music International artist.

“There was no rush. It was bound to happen. So we who love you will pray,” shared her mom, Angeli Pangilinan.

Meanwhile, OPM icon and Kiana’s dad Gary Valenciano said, “WOW!!! So very, very proud of you @kianavee.”

Aside from performing at the SXSW, Kiana is also set to showcase her music in various events in the US.

Last January, she launched her first international single “No Rush,” an R&B track that she recorded with Filipino-Australian R&B/hip-hop artist and producer, Billy Davis.

Expect more music from Kiana this year to be produced by ABS-CBN Music International and Tarsier Records as part of ABS-CBN’s commitment to introduce the unique artistry of Filipino talents to the global music stage.
