Business processing outsourcing (BPO) company Concentrix, in cooperation with Pangasinan provincial government, will hold a mega job fair in Pangasinan on Feb. 7 and 8 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Gymnasium here.

In a forum Tuesday, Concentrix Training and Quality senior director Larah Sta. Maria said they will be hiring over 300 applicants from the province, whose salaries will start at PHP20,000 and will receive a relocation package.

“There will be workshops and orientation on the first day (Feb. 7), to prepare the applicants. Near-hired applicants will undergo five-day training with allowance worth PHP200,” she said.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old, at least a high school graduate, must have good English communication skills, and computer literate, Sta. Maria said.

“We also offer non-voice or back-office jobs, wherein communication with our clients are done through chat or emails and not necessarily voice calls. We also have our human resources, marketing and information technology departments,” she added.

The successful applicants, Sta. Maria said, may opt to work in Clark, Pampanga or in Baguio City, which are near the province. Concentrix has 45 branches nationwide.

“Pangasinan is very strategic to our branch in Baguio City and in Clark, Pampanga, which both grew over the years with two branches each,” she said.

Meanwhile, Public Employment Services Office manager Alex Ferrer, in the same forum, said the provincial government will provide buses for applicants coming from Umingan, Sison, Infanta, and Bolinao.

Ferrer said it will also provide billeting areas for applicants who will not be able to finish their application on the first day.

“This is a good opportunity because the company will conduct its hiring and training in the province. This is also an opportunity for those who cannot yet find a job that fits their qualification,” he said.

Concentrix has 90,000 employees nationwide. (PNA)
