When we think of noodle soup, we probably think of delicious ramen from Japan, or maybe sumptuous pho from Vietnam. But the Chinese have definitely also perfected the art of making noodles paired with broth, seasoning, and rich soup. Not only that, but many Chinese noodle places in the Philippines are affordable and made with special care.

Shanghai Hand Pulled Noodles

Located in a quaint little corner in the Banawe area of Quezon City, this restaurant serves noodles made entirely by hand, giving their food a traditional and authentic spin. Their star dish is titled the House Special Beef Noodle, and it is topped with special beef broth, braised beef brisket, house-made pork dumplings, and boiled egg. For all of their noodle options, you have the option to have them with soup or dry. Not only that, but all of their dishes cost less than P300!

Chinese Beef Noodles House

This restaurant with branches in Greenhills Mall and Poblacion offers noodle soup such as beef noodles, flat beef noodles, braised beef noodles, and sliced beef noodles, all within a price range of P260 to P400 pesos. Other dishes also take the spotlight in their menu, including dry noodles and classic dim sum such as tofu rolls, dumplings, xiao long bao, and sio mai.

Malatang

There are a lot of Malatang restaurants to try in the metro, including Sichu Malatang and No. 1 Malatang PH. These restaurants offer a unique experience given that you can choose all of the ingredients for your noodle soup—including the soup base, the type of noodles, and the meat and veggie toppings you want. Since your bowl gets weighed and you get charged more per gram, this restaurant is the priciest on this list, with food options sometimes going for up to P600. As such, you can split your bowls with others if you’re looking to save.

Lan Zhou La Mien

With its main branch in Lucky Chinatown Mall in Manila, this Chinese place offers beef noodle soup with a choice of either Sotanghon Soup, Bihon Soup, Ho Fan Soup, and Lamien Soup. Its toppings include beef broth, carrots, and vegetables. Only for P280!

Masuki

The Masuki restaurant has been around in Binondo since 1930. Instead of beef noodle soup, this place serves mami, where the soup is mixed with a special brown sauce. You have your choice of toppings, including chicken, asado, beef, and/or wontons. The original mami only costs P185!

If you’re looking for a new food place to try, or want to sip some noodles while sharing the latest chika with friends, these places are perfect for you.
