The provincial government of Ilocos Norte through its Small and Medium Enterprise Office (SMEO) will be launching the “Produkto ni Ilokano Trade Fair” in front of the Arte Luna building in Paoay, Ilocos Norte on November 26-28, 2020.

Elma Gabriel, head of the SMEO, said Tuesday locally-made products will be made available at the trade fair, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Like in previous trade fairs organized by the provincial government, the public is reminded to follow minimum health protocols when going to the trade fair.

“We enjoin our local entrepreneurs to join the trade fair and for our constituents to help us patronized our own products,” she said.

Over the years, small and medium entrepreneurs here look forward to joining trade fairs to reach more markets and for them to promote their new products.

Among the most sought-after products during local trade fairs include quality processed food products, fresh and organic upland and lowland vegetables, and a wide selection of Abel handwoven cloth.

Ornamental plants have also become a hot stuff for plant hobbyists in the time of Covid-19 pandemic.

Before the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, SMEs based in the province continue to explore new markets as they improve their products and innovativeness by participating in various local, national and international trade expos where they can share what they have and learn from the success of others.
