6. Limit the expectations

Having standards is fine, but make sure that you know where to draw the line. There are several times when we would usually get upset because of how unrealistic their expectations on us are. When you make a friend, it is a necessity to accept them the way they are.

There may be things about them that we might not like too much, and we can call them out for that, but not too much to the point that it’s suffocating. We are human after all. So, don’t set those standards too high. Because seriously, if you love your friend, you’ll accept them no matter what they are.
