A teenage surfer overcomes her own fear of returning to the water after losing her left arm in a horrific shark attack. The movie was based on a 2004 autobiography entitled Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board by Bethany Hamilton which makes it more inspiring.
