Now, someone who often roasts other people or roasts them without even being provoked is called “salty”. Gen Z may be ridiculous, but they are intelligent: they connect words to build sensible associations and visceral metaphors, e.g. Person 1 gets roasted by Person 2, whose salt brings out the flavor all the more.
