Duterte joked that he used to be gay and that when he saw Mutya, his partner Honeylet Avanceña, he cured himself of homosexuality.
According to Panelo, Pres. Duterte’s Spokesperson, the LGBTQ community, “should be happy.”
Panelo had also said to the Philippine Daily Inquirer that, “I don’t know if it should offend them” and “Why is the gay community offended?”
Lastly, Panelo had declared, “The remarks meant he had changed his sexual preference, what’s wrong [with that]?”
