We know that earthquakes are caused by the shifting of tectonic plates. Through its slow movement, it eventually gets “stuck at their edges due to friction. When the stress on the edge overcomes the friction” it causes its shaking (usgs.gov, 2019). While this is true, there are many reasons as to why this occurrence usually happens.
