2. Angel Locsin – Philippine Red Cross, Gabriela

Angel Locsin is pretty well-known as portraying Mars Ravelo’s brave and kindhearted heroine, Darna. But what some people don’t know, Angel is braver and more kindhearted in real life.

Angel supports Gabriela as she believes that all women deserve a chance at equality and freedom.

Her famous comment during the latest season of Pilipinas Got Talent received plenty of responses as she stood for the rights of women especially of the group of female performers who were dancing while doing “car-wash”.

She was also the ambassador for the Philippine Red Cross where she actively participated and engaged in various activities from holding an online auction of her chevrolet car for the victims of the Typhoon Ondoy and also in joining relief operations for Typhoon Yolanda. Angel also donates blood regularly.

Despite Angel’s hectic schedule, she always makes sure that she allots some of her time her advocacy.

Angel is also a very down-to-earth person as she comes and converse with the people involved in her advocacy without wearing makeup or bringing her bodyguards. She interacts with them not as an actress but as a regular citizen, proving her strong willingness to help.

A recognized actress, beautiful face, and women rights advocate? Angel Locsin obviously relives her name as an angel sent from above. No wonder millions of people love her!
