Question: “If a man from the moon landed in your hometown, what would you do to entertain him?”
Answer: “Oh! Uh, just the same things I do. I think if he has been on the moon for so long, I think when he comes over he wants a change, I guess.”
Exuding wit does not always mean delivering the most unexpected answers. When Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz was asked how she would host a man who just landed from the moon, she gave a quick yet a matter-of-fact answer.
This remains one of the fan-favorite moments of the Miss Universe pageant to this day.
