Kicking off this list is Ellen Degeneres, who is one of the first celebrities to come out as lesbian. She is best known for voicing Dory in Finding Nemo. Ellen is currently the host to one of the longest running talk shows, The Ellen Degeneres Show.

Despite being known for her dry humor, the comedian revealed in 2019 that she was a victim of sexual abuse by her step father. She first touched the topic in 2005, but got into more detail 14 years later for the reast that she doesn’t want other girls experience what she went through.

Aside from being an actor, comedian, and TV host, Ellen also advocates and supports the efforts in preserving endangered species.
