He was born on October 7, 1959 making him the year of the Pig. Known for his meticulous taste in artist, Simon Cowell has been the judge of many talent competitions such as the American Idol and the British X Factor. He also signed contracts of some of the most famous boy-bands in his times such as Westlife and One Direction. Cowell is also the principal founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.
