The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) bared Tuesday that 3,487 job vacancies are available at the Independence Day job fair in Zamboanga Peninsula.

DOLE-Zamboanga Peninsula Director Albert Gutib said two job fair sites will open, KCC Mall in Zamboanga City and Gaisano Mall in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

“Secretary Francis Tolentino has ordered all regional offices to conduct trabaho agad job fairs,” Gutib said in a press conference.

Of the 3,487 vacancies, 1,671 are for overseas employment and 1,816 for local employment. The job fair will feature six overseas placement agencies and 35 local companies.

Gutib advised job seekers to apply for jobs aligned with their educational attainment or qualifications.

Partner agencies will also offer one-stop shop services at the job fair sites.

“Twenty-one agencies are invited to participate in our one-stop shop services and to share with our fellow citizens their programs and services,” Gutib said.
