The 2,183 city government employees are set to receive PHP25,000 each through the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA).

Geraldine Dela Paz, city budget officer, said Wednesday that preparations are underway for the release of the CNA incentive after December 16, this year.

Dela Paz said those who are entitled to receive the CNA incentive are regular employees, department heads, city councilors, casuals, and contractual employees who were appointed from July to September.

Employees who qualify for the incentive include those who retired from service before September 30, this year, shall be entitled to a pro-rated CNA incentive.

She disclosed that the city government has a budget of PHP51.9 million to grant the CNA incentive to its officials and personnel.

The CNA is granted to the employees based on the savings of the local government unit.

“This (CNA) is an additional Christmas gift derived from savings as a result of the cost-cutting efforts of the personnel,” she said. (PNA)
