The Robredo People’s Council – Cavite has released a statement condemning “malicious, destructive, irresponsible, and baseless” allegations in the recently held grand people’s rally for presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday, March 4, at the General Trias Sports Park, General Trias City, Cavite.

The group also slammed accusations of red-tagging supporters who joined the rally and accused them of involvement with the National Democratic Front (NDF).

The crowd turnout has turned into a friendly competition among supporters from different regions. Future rallies are expected to beat the record-breaking 47,000 people in attendance at the Cavite people’s rally.

Robredo’s spokesperson, Atty. Barry Gutierrez, was himself in awe of the sheer number of people showing up in the sorties.

So ano daw, dapat talunin. So kami ng Cavite, 47. Kahapon, Bulacan, 45. Dahil ano na eh, kompetisyon na ito eh,” he said on the Biserbisyong Leni radio show.

From witty placards to fireworks displays, Robredo’s supporters continue to outdo each other in friendly ways, all through their own pockets and their own volition.
