Vice President Leni Robredo visited the town of Garchitorena in Camarines Sur on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, as her office continues to bring aid and assess areas around Bicol and Luzon that were devastated by the recent typhoons.

VP Leni was received warmly by the residents of Barangays 1 and 2, both of which were terribly hit by Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses. Representatives of affected families were emotional in sharing the difficulties of losing their homes again, as they continue to wait for relocation, which the local government hopes will come to fruition in the soonest time.

OVP’s relief efforts are ongoing not just in Bicol. The office has deployed teams in Cagayan and Isabela, and Quezon Province, which the Vice President also visited recently.

OVP is also helping communities in Marikina and in Rizal, which likewise suffered massive flooding due to Typhoon Ulysses.
