There will be ‘no gift policy’ on the holiday season in Valenzuela, the city government announced on Thursday.
“In the spirit of good governance and our commitment to selfless delivery of public service, we are implementing the ‘no gift policy’ even during the holiday season,” the city government said in an advisory.
The local government said the city hall employees are prohibited to “solicit, receive or accept, directly and indirectly, any gift or favor from any individual or group they serve or transact with in relation to their official duties.”
Violators of the policy or any unethical behavior observed at City Hall could be reported through the Human Resources Management Office hotline number at 8352-1000. (PNA)
