Filipinos who were affected by the onslaught of severe tropical storm Maring in northern Luzon were able to feel the love and care of fellow Filipinos through the immediate relief operations of ABS-CBN Foundation.

Around 6,581 families or 34,255 individuals from eight municipalities from four provinces that were severely hit by the storm got to receive relief goods from ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya.

Bagyong Maring crippled the livelihood of thousands of families as their domesticated animals like goats and chickens, as well as their crops got washed away by the floods brought by the storm.

“Marami sa amin ‘yung kambing halos 400. Ang palayan halos 80 percent, totally damaged,” Barangay Ronda captain Romualdo Salgado said to “TV Patrol.”

Meanwhile, farmer Delfin Helera shared that even gadgets that his children use for online school were damaged because of the flood.

If it weren’t for the donors, partners, and supporters who continue to trust ABS-CBN Foundation, immediate help would not have been possible to victims like Romualdo and Delfin.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Foundation’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig para sa Pasko has started. It aims to encourage gratitude and generosity among Filipinos this Christmas season by offering friends and loved ones gifts in the form of donations for the benefit of various programs of ABS-CBN Foundation. Interested donors can visit paskoparasapilipino.com and choose from a variety of vouchers.
