4. Stinky Tofu

Unlike with the previous food above, stinky tofu got its name exactly because of its pungent smell which is created due to the fermentation process of the tofu. Upon serving, it is deep-friend until a thin crispy outer skin covers the remaining soft tofu and is partnered with chili sauce. Despite its notorious smell, stinky tofu proves to be one of Hong Kong’s most delicious street food out there.
