The provincial government of Surigao del Norte sent cash aid to Davao del Sur and North Cotabato, 2 of the provinces in Mindanao that were badly-hit by recent earthquakes.

Surigao del Norte Governor Francisco Matugas said the PHP600,000 assistance aims to help affected residents who are in dire need of food, water, tents, and other supplies.

Of the total amount, PHP300,000 will be given to Davao del Sur while PHP300,000 will go to North Cotabato.

Matugas said the respective provincial leaderships of Davao del Sur and North Cotabato have expressed gratitude for the assistance.

Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Cagas, in particular, said the cash assistance would be of great help to provide needed relief goods to the evacuees. (PNA)
