Akbayan Senator Risa Hontiveros on Sunday visited the residents and evacuees of Mataasnakahoy and Malvar, Batangas affected by the Taal volcano eruption.

In a short message, Hontiveros urged DSWD and DOLE to grant cash assistance, not loans, to families whose houses were devastated and workers whose livelihood were affected by the eruption. Pantawid-upa at pantawid-sahod na bigay dapat at hindi pautang.
