Honda was hailed as The Philippines’ Best Employers 2023, while the top 10 was completed by Verizon Communications, Makati Medical Center, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Google, Unilever, Microsoft, EM Devices Corporation, Canva and Pascual Laboratories.

All companies with at least 250 employees were qualified. Over 2,000 employers were part of the study, which consisted of anonymous surveys. The final sample entailed approximately 11,000 employees.

The participants were asked on their opinions on salary, work-life balance, potential for development, work environment, reputation and willingness of the participants to recommend their own employer.

The research concluded that employees viewed their employers favorably when they provided competitive benefits, trust and opportunities for personal development.

Some of the industries tapped included agriculture, clothing, NGOs, engineering, restaurants, media, travel, retail and more.

The survey, spearheaded by the Philippine Daily Inquirer in partnership with Statista, the world’s leading data and business intelligence portal, is a research project on employee opinion about their respective employers.
