Reinforcing its commitment in making a difference in the lives of Filipino children, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) recently turned over its first solar powered Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit (RMBB) Learning Center to the community of Jade Residences, Barangay Malagasang I-G, Imus, Cavite.

Together with the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) and the local government units of Imus, RMHC sets up its second RMBB in Cavite and its 33rd in the country. Close to 70 children ages 2-4 can jumpstart their learning journey in the safe and conducive center, with two to three sessions a day.

In its bid to also support Imus City’s vision in providing a safe, green, and sustainable living environment, RMHC goes eco-friendly as they install solar panels in the RMBB donated by Robles Heritage (RH) Solar.

Other RMHC flagship programs such as the Ronald McDonald Read to Learn (RTL), which teaches beginning reading, is also rolled out in public elementary schools in the city. Aside from RTL, McDonald’s Philippines is also working with the city government to hire PWDs and senior citizens in Imus stores soon.
