The occupancy rate in Quezon City’s Hope community caring facilities used as quarantine and isolation sites for asymptomatic, mild and moderate coronavirus disease (Covid-19) positive patients are now down to 51.01 percent.

As of September 22, only 884 of the city’s 1,733 Covid-19 beds in its 12 Hope Facilities were occupied, the city government announced through its Facebook page.

QC Mayor Joy Belmonte said each of the city’s Hope facilities intended for Covid-19 diagnosed residents has its own clinic, pharmacy and supply room.

“Kung kayo ay nangangailangan ng pasilidad para sa mga Covid-19 mild o asymptomatic patients, makipag-ugnayan sa inyong barangay at sa ating QC Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) para ma-admit sa ating (Resident who are in need of a facility for mild or asymptomatic Covid-19 patients may get in touch with your barangay and with our CESU to facilitate admission to our) HOPE facilities,” she said.

Meanwhile, the city’s three hospitals are still in critical condition with the Novaliches District Hospital reporting over 160 percent occupancy rate, the Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital with 139 percent, and the Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) with a 98 percent occupancy rate.

As of Thursday, the city has 11,660 recorded active Covid-19 cases.

The city’s recovery rate is at 91.76 percent after a total of 145,387 individuals have recovered from Covid-19. (PNA)
