Five brand new police cars complete with accessories arrived Tuesday at the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) government center here for turn over to the police regional office.

Lawyer Naguib Sinarimbo, BARMM interior minister, said the five police vehicles form part of the initial batch of deliveries since more cars are coming for the Police Regional Office-BARMM soon.

“The procurement of police cars is just among the many support provided by the BARMM government to the regional police to improve its capacity to protect and secure its constituents,” said Sinarimbo, who is also BARMM’s spokesperson.

The BARMM, through its Ministry of the Interior and Local Government, has distributed more than 30 police cars to municipal police stations and other police units in the provinces of Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

Sinarimbo said apart from police vehicles, BARMM has been building two-story police stations across the region for areas that have no police headquarters.

Aside from municipal and provincial police stations, BARMM also built the new regional PRO-BARMM headquarters building at Camp Salipada K. Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao. (PNA)
