The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles has turned his attention to another project—a new TV channel that is now accessible on Amazon Prime Video.
The RE:TV channel seeks to inspire companies and individuals all around the world to actively strive toward sustainability. It is also announced that the Prince of Wales is becoming editor-in-chief of the said channel.
The new climate channel features projects throughout the world that are engaging in ideas that help people create a cleaner, more sustainable economy. It comes as Amazon attempts to improve its environmental credentials in the face of growing worries over its carbon footprint.
Furthermore, the channel is affiliated with the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI), a group of CEOs who have banded together to guarantee that firms operate in an ecologically sustainable manner, which Prince Charles established in Davos in January 2020.
According to reports, Charles is not getting compensated for curating the channel, which will broadcast both new and current content. The videos explore a wide range of themes, including coffee recycling, rainforest reseeding, solar refinement, urban revitalization, and fashion redesign.
“I’ve spent a lot of my lifetime trying to engage people and businesses with the issues and solutions of the climate crisis,” the Prince said while speaking on the project.
“RE:TV was therefore set up with the aim of capturing the will and imagination of humanity and to champion the most inspiring solutions for sustainability from around the world,” he added.
Members of Amazon Prime may view it by searching for RE:TV in the Prime Video app on their phones, tablets, or smart TVs.
