President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with former United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair at Malacañan Palace on Wednesday to discuss governance and public policy.

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO), in a Facebook post on Thursday, shared several photos of the meeting.

The PCO said Blair continues to play an active role in advancing discussions on governance and public policy through the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.

In a separate Facebook post, Marcos said it was a pleasure to welcome Blair, one of Britain’s longest-serving prime ministers, to Malacañang.

“As one of Britain’s longest-serving Prime Ministers, he continues to contribute to global conversations on governance and public policy through the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change,” Marcos said.

In 2024, Marcos also welcomed Blair at Malacañang where they discussed possible areas of collaboration.

Blair currently serves as executive chairperson of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, a non-profit organization that provides support to political leaders and governments to build open, inclusive and prosperous societies in a globalized world.

He established the organization to help countries achieve transformational change by partnering with world leaders. (PNA)
