With the national elections 2022 fast-approaching, national parties are now finalizing their candidates for the highly awaited event.

Liberal Party, who just launched its new logo on January 19, are apparently gearing up for the upcoming elections with some familiar faces.

According to a reliable source, Liberal Party’s and current Senators Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Leila De Lima are slated to reapply for their positions. Likewise, Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino and Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno are going to vie for positions as well.

Senator Kiko Pangilinan became the youngest councilor of Quezon City in 1988 at age 25, and that position fueled him for his passion to serve the people.

Pangilinan is against the death penalty and opposes the enactment of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.

On the other hand, Bam Aquino served as a senator from 2013 to 2019. He pushed for up to 19 laws and mainly focused on education, entrepreneurship and employment.

Aside from being a former public servant, he was a former youth leader and social entrepreneur.

Additionally, Leila De Lima, who has over 2 decades of experience in legal expertise, was delegated as the Justice Secretary from 2010 to 2015 might be a candidate as well.

De Lima is also a well-known critic of the government.

Despite not acquiring a seat in the Senate last May 2019, Opposition Koalisyon’s (OK) Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno might try his luck again next year.

Diokno is the son of former Senator Jose W. Diokno. Like De Lima, he previously slammed the government’s COVID-19 actions.

In response, President Rodrigo Duterte mocked his teeth.

Kiko Pangilinan, Bam Aquino, Leila De Lima, and Chel Diokno are allegedly going to run in the May 2022 elections. What can you say about this?
