The Philippines placed 82nd out of 199 nations in the recently released Q3 2021 Henley Passport Index—a global rating of all passports in the world based on the number of places its holders may travel visa-free.

The yearly passport index, produced by London-based Henley & Partners and based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), displays the number of countries to which passport holders have visa-free entry.

The Philippines has dropped eight places from last year’s 74th place to its lowest position since 2006. In 2007, 2008, and 2009, the country’s highest-ranking was 62nd.

Moreover, passport holders from the Philippines may travel visa-free to 66 countries this year, including Brazil, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

For the fourth year in a row, Japan topped the list, with 193 visa-free destinations. Meanwhile, Afghanistan ranks last on the list of 199 countries, with only 26 visa-free destinations available to Afghan passport holders.

You can check the other countries with visa-free access at https://www.henleyglobal.com/passport-index. When traveling, take note of the temporary restrictions place by the Covid-19 protocols.
