Highlighting the hospitality and friendly vibes of Filipinos, an international travel website declared the Philippines to be the fourth-friendliest country.

On December 3, online portal TheTravel classified different countries in the world depending on how friendly the people are and the place itself, which has been an important factor for tourists lately.

“Visitors to new countries are often looking for a chance to immerse themselves not only in the sights of a location but in the culture of the region as well,” TheTravel stated on its website.

The website also explained that being a friendly country has helped different places to make it look like they are engaging enough for tourists, even with language barriers and cultural differences among the people.

As described by TheTravel, the Philippines was considered to be a friendly country because of its welcoming locals, tourist-oriented economy, English-speaking individuals, and variety of tourism activities.

To be specific, the online portal shared that according to its surveyed visitors, the friendliest city in the Philippines is Manila, considering its rich cultural sites and accommodating Filipinos that can bring warmth to tourists.

Even though the country only has 92% of Filipinos who can speak English, visitors are more inclined to visit the country because of their sense of friendliness and comfort whenever they travel in the Philippines.

“Regardless of which beach tourists decide to dip their toes into, they can consistently plan to interact with friendly locals eager to enhance their overall experience,” the website discussed.

Other than getting the fourth spot, the surveyed tourists also said that the country tends to be visited because it is wallet-friendly with its cheap yet beautiful places to visit.
