The country’s daily average of Covid-19 cases went down to 185 from May 30 to June 5, or 1.4 percent lower than the previous week, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Monday.
Cases averaged 188 per day from May 23 to 29.
The latest case bulletin of the DOH showed that there are 1,295 new Covid-19 cases in the recent week.
There was one verified death.
For the same period, 16 cases were added to the tally of severe and critical infections, which went down to 599 from last week’s 679.
Only 14.7 percent or 386 out of the 2,632 intensive care unit (ICU) beds are in use, while 18.1 percent or 4,031 out of 22,245 non-ICU beds are utilized.
To date, about 69,487,920 million or 77.2 percent of the country’s target population (90,005,357) are vaccinated against Covid-19, including 77.33 percent of 8,721,357 senior citizens.
As of June 5, a total of 14,312,506 have received booster shots out of the total 69,487,920 who are fully vaccinated. (PNA)
