The country’s daily average of Covid-19 cases went up to 188 from May 23 to 29, or 8.8 percent higher than the previous week, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Monday.
Cases averaged 173 per day from May 16 to 22.
The latest case bulletin of the DOH show that there are 1,317 new Covid-19 cases in the recent week.
There were no verified deaths.
For the same period, 12 cases were added to the tally of severe and critical infections, which went down to 679 from last week’s 718.
Only 16.8 percent or 459 out of the 2,730 intensive care unit (ICU) beds are in use, while 17.2 percent or 4,073 out of 23,612 non-ICU beds are utilized.
To date, about 69,302,485 million or 77 percent of the country’s target population (90,005,357) are vaccinated against Covid-19, including 77.29 percent of 8,721,357 senior citizens.
As of May 29, a total of 14,100,743 have received booster shots out of the total 69,302,485 who are fully vaccinated. (PNA)
