Attention, pet lovers!

A popular mall here opened a Paw Park, where owners and their pets can gather and promote responsible ownership at the same time

Claire Hariri, SM City Legazpi spokesperson, said in an interview on Thursday the park was organized as part of their animal health care program.

The park, located on the roof deck, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It has obstacles and a play area to keep pets active and entertained.

“Pet owners need to secure park passes from the mall administration office. There will be different obstacles that will test your pets’ agility,” Hariri said.

Dogs and cats must be at least four months and up to date with all vaccines. They must be leashed when outside the park. Owners must clean up after them as they go in and out of the park.

Aggressive, disruptive, in heat, or sick pets are not allowed. Food, drinks, glass containers cannot be brought in the park.

“Maximum of two pets per adult allowed, while children under 12 are not allowed inside without an adult. Equipment are for pets only so children cannot use the obstacles. Only 10 people at a time are allowed inside the park,” she added.

Pet owners are also reminded that private training and other commercial activities without the management’s approval are not allowed.

“Persons bringing pets into the park assume legal responsibility, jointly and individually, with other owners for any damage, disease or injury to a persons, other pets or property caused by their pets. SM City Legazpi management reserves the right to refuse entry to any pet that presents risk to humans and other pets,” Hariri added. (PNA)
