No one could stop President Ferdinand R. Marcos from delivering good services to the Filipinos, according to Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella.

“Kahit na po kaarawan niya, kahit birthday niya na kasama ho niya ang kanyang pamilya, hindi po [nagpapaawat]. Noong kaarawan po niya, nagpunta po kami ng Nueva Ecija, nagpunta po kami kung saan-saan, namimigay ng titulo sa ating mga kababayan, (“Even if it’s his birthday, even when he’s with his family, he’s unstoppable. On his birthday, we went to Nueva Ecija, we went everywhere, handing out titles to our countrymen,) Estrella said of the President during an event in Tarlac on Monday.

Accompanying President Marcos during the distribution of Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) in Tarlac, Estrella underscored the President’s determination to face all challenges to serve the people, especially the less privileged.

Even if he is sick and needs to rest, nobody could stop him, he added. “At kahit po may sakit, akalain niyo ho ay nagkasakit. Kahit s’ya na ho ang may sakit… Dapat ang Presidente kung may sakit, doon na lang sa bahay, nagpapahinga. Ngunit kahit na bahing nang masama ang pakiramdam, tumuloy pa rin ho kami sa Palawan at sa Iloilo, (“And even if he is sick and needs resting…even if he’s the one who’s sick… The President should be at home, resting. Even when he’s under the weather, we went to Palawan and Iloilo,” Estrella narrated.

He believed that the president is impervious to any situation, rain or shine, day and night, he added, recalling an incident where the Chief Executive was advised to forego a visit for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Mindanao because of bad weather.

The President on Monday led the distribution of 4,663 COCROMs to 3,527 ARBs in Paniqui, Tarlac.

During the event, the President reiterated the administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that ARBs in the Philippines will be freed from their debts. (PNA)
