The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Monday reminded passengers departing from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) that they can refund the terminal fee for unused airline tickets.

In a Facebook post, the MIAA management said unused tickets due to offloading, voluntary flight cancellation, and passenger no-show, are entitled to the terminal fee refund.

The air carrier shall process the terminal fee refund for unused tickets during the validity period or 15 months from the date of issuance.

The MIAA will process the terminal fee refund to those with unused tickets “only after its expiration and the terminal fee has been remitted by the air carrier to MIAA”.

The MIAA will process the refund either online or at the MIAA Administration Building in Pasay City.

Claimants must present the airline ticket with proof of paid terminal fee, accomplished passenger service charge refund declaration form that can be downloaded from miaa.gov.ph, and a valid government-issued ID.

Those who will opt for online processing shall send a scanned copy of the requirements to collection@miaagovphils,onmicrosoft.com.

Only those with complete documentation will be processed.

Claimants must acknowledge once they are notified through email that the refund has been deposited to their bank account, the MIAA said. (PNA)
