Qualified family beneficiaries of the government’s second tranche of the social amelioration program (SAP) in Pasay City are set to receive assistance amounting to PHP8,000 beginning Oct. 21, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced Monday.

Rubiano said the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), along with Robinsons Bank, its partner financial service provider (FSP), as well as the local government, has already completed the validation and cross-checking process of each household qualified for the financial aid.

Rubiano urged the beneficiaries to wait for a confirmation text message coming from Robinsons Bank, notifying them about the details of the financial aid.

“Ibibigay na nila ang inyong access code upang kunin na ninyo ang inyong pinakahihintay na tulong (They will provide you the access code that you need to get your financial assistance),” Rubiano said in a video message as she provided updates on the SAP.

Rubiano said she has requested the city’s education department to allow the SAP distribution to be held within selected public schools in the city, in a bid to hasten the delivery of the social service.

“Mayroon din pong ilang gymnasiums dito kung saan pwedeng makuha ang SAP at pwera ‘dyan, pwede niyo ring kunin sa ilang mga branches ng Robinsons Bank (There are also some gymnasiums within the city where you can get the aid and aside from that, you can also withdraw from the various Robinsons Banks branches),” she added.

Rubiano said strict adherence to the health protocols will be observed during the SAP distribution process to prevent further transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019. (PNA)
