The extension of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beyond the maximum seven-year limit will ensure the well-being of qualified household members in Antique and aid them in reaching their subsistence level.
Pantawid Antique Provincial Link Jeffrey Gabucay on Thursday said Executive Order (EO) No. 120 signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., extending the maximum seven-year period for qualified households, is a welcome development.
“Household beneficiaries in Antique will no longer exit automatically from the program since President Marcos has already issued EO No. 120 that extends their stay in the program depending on their need,” Gabucay said in an interview.
He added that they have not monitored 4Ps household beneficiaries who have returned to the survival level or the poorest of the poor level, but there were beneficiaries who expressed hesitancy to exit from the program because they still need their cash grants.
A total of 11,672 household beneficiaries from the province have already exited from the program.
“We referred household beneficiaries to their respective local government units and national government agencies so they could avail of trainings and livelihood programs since they no longer receive cash grants after they have exited from the program,” Gabucay said. (PNA)
