Have you ever seen a whole egg inside an egg? A local from Palawan was amazed after discovering a cracked egg with another small egg inside of it.

“Parang crush ko, you’re one in a million,” Rai Ahmad from Palawan captioned her video after unexpectedly finding a small egg inside a regular one.

In Ahmad’s recent Facebook post, she planned to surprise her niece with the perfect scrambled eggs with onions she requested, but it was Ahmad who got a surprise of her own.

She shared a video of her scooping up the small egg, which was about the size of a thumb. Ahmad thought it would be too fragile, but it was actually as strong as the regular egg.

Five days after discovering the small egg, Ahmad no longer cracked it and instead wanted to experiment with how long it would last as the color was already changing.

Ahmad, in her 32 years of existence, has a small egg and poultry nursery and has never encountered it before, yet there is nothing to fear as the phenomenon of “counter-peristalsis contraction” does happen but is extremely rare.

According to experts, such a case is bound to happen when the chicken’s egg is pushed back up into the reproductive system, which affects the newly formed egg. This was then experienced in other countries, as other individuals also discovered mutant eggs inside another egg, which were disclosed to not be eaten by those who discovered them, just like Ahmad did.

Ahmad jokingly asks her viewers to assure themselves that the double egg is not a sign of bad luck; perhaps she is actually one of the few lucky people to witness such a thing.
