Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Thursday warned the public against a new fake advertisement circulating online, which asks people to answer questions for a chance to win tickets.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the fake ad was identified by the carrier’s Information Systems Department as a phishing site designed to get one’s personal information.

She also noted that the fake advertisement carries the tagline, “Home in the Sky”, while the correct tagline of PAL is “Heart of the Filipino”.

“We urge everyone not to open the site (fake ad) as this will compromise their data,” she said.

Villaluna added that all official advertisements are only posted on the carrier’s website and its official Facebook page.

She said PAL is already coordinating with authorities to address the issue. (PNA)
