The government is expecting more than 100 million doses of coronavirus jabs by the end of October, National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19 chief Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. reported on Monday night.

Galvez also said the Philippines recorded the highest volume of deliveries of 9,586,270 doses on Sept. 13 to 19.

These include five million doses of Sinovac, 2,774,070 of Pfizer 961,000 of Moderna, 661,200 of AstraZeneca, and 190,000 of Sputnik V Component II jabs.

Overall, 64,942,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have reached the country, Galvez said during the Talk to the People meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte in Matina, Davao City.

Of the total vaccines delivered, Galvez said 41,414,015 doses have been administered nationwide — 22,853,606 first shots and 18,560,409 second doses.

“The Philippines is slated to receive another 22 million doses before the end of September and maybe until the first week of October,” he added, noting steadier supplies of Sinovac, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Moderna brands and from the COVAX Facility.

The country is likewise renegotiating with the Russian Direct Investment Fund for the Sputnik Light, the single-dose version of Sputnik V.

Another 5,626,650 doses of Pfizer vaccine will be delivered between the last week of this month and early October. (PNA)
