The Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Monday said it is in search government workers who changed the lives of people they serve, improved the community or made significant contributions to the nation.

Nomination for the 2025 Search for Outstanding Government Workers may be submitted until March 31.

The annual search is part of the government’s Honor Awards Program (HAP) which aims to recognize civil servants for their dedication and commitment to public service while inspiring others to uphold excellence and integrity in government work.

The three national honor awards are Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award for civil servants whose exceptional achievements have made a national impact pursuant to Executive Order No. 508, s. 1992; CSC Pagasa Award for those whose contributions led to innovations, digital transformation or other significant improvements within their agency, department or region; and Outstanding Public Officials and Employees (Dangal ng Bayan) Award for public servants who have consistently demonstrated exemplary ethical behavior under Republic Act No. 6713, otherwise known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, even in the face of challenges or temptations inherent in their work.

Posthumous nominations may also be submitted for public servants who died in the line of duty, provided the nomination is made within 12 months from the date of death.

All career and non-career government employees, including appointive barangay officials, are eligible for nomination.

Employees under Job Order or Contract of Service arrangements are not eligible for nomination.

Awardees will receive rewards and incentives, including cash prizes, automatic promotion or salary increase equivalent to the next higher position, one-time executive check-up, and scholarship opportunities with any of CSC’s partner educational institutions, among others.

The complete guidelines and nomination forms are available and may be downloaded from the CSC website https://www.csc.gov.ph/
