As you may have known by now, Sam Milby made quite a buzz on Saturday when he confirmed his relationship with Catriona Gray.

The actor celebrated his 36th birthday on Instagram by going public.

While everyone is extremely happy for the couple, fans can’t help but reminisce Gray and ex Clint Bondad’s relationship.

The couple of 6 years broke things off as Gray wanted to focus on her one-year reign as Miss Universe 2018.

In an interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda in 2019, she revealed that they “were having some problems even before the pageant. We weren’t on speaking terms so much.” and admitted that some couples who started dating at a young age sometimes “outgrow” each other.

“When you’re together for so long and you start off at a young age—you grow whether that be on your personal or in your career or whatever,” she said.

She continued, “And you know sometimes you outgrow each other in a way and you know if we’re meant to be together, maybe it will happen in the future.”

“I’m always grateful to him for the time that I shared with him ‘coz he has seen me through so much and I have seen him through so much. We both supported each other but it just didn’t work out,” the beauty queen ended.
