Netflix has finally released the first trailer of their most-anticipated sci-fi movie “Don’t Look Up” which features Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence as main characters.
The story follows astronomer Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence) together with her professor, Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio) who chose to have a media tour to warn people globally after they discovered a comet that has a direct collision course with Earth, orbiting within the solar system.
For the two astronomers, no one seemed to care about the situation so they took everything into their hands. With the help of Dr. Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), the duo started their media journey from the office of President Orlean (Meryl Steep) with her sycophantic son that also acts as the Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), to an upbeat morning show The Daily Rip, hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry).
Kate and Randall will do everything they can just to make everyone across the world look up, and they only have 6 months left to do so, before the comet hits the Earth.
The star-studded casts include Academy award-winning legend Meryl Streep, “Dune” star Timothée Chalamet, and pop star Ariana Grande, together with Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Tyler Perry, and Scott Mescudi a.k.a. Kid Cudi.
It’s safe to say fans can’t wait for Christmas, “Don’t Look Up is set for release on December 24.
