Home is where the heart is. The pandemic has given many middle class professionals more time to spend at home under work from home arrangements. This translates to more connection with loved ones; more joy in sharing meals three times a day; and more time to organize, fix and clean the house.
Today, if you need help in fixing your house, a whole community will help you. Just join Home Buddies on Facebook.
I was invited to this group last month by a friend who knows that I love anything that relates to home making, except cooking. So, any home finds, tips, inspirations to make our house more comfortable and pleasing to the eyes will capture my attention. Truth is, I am a cheapskate. The cheaper the find, the more I am attracted to it, but of course, it should still be of good quality.
Home Buddies has more than 105,700 members now and is still growing. Except for Mondays, the site is not a marketplace. It is a community where everyone is a kapitbahay. Its mantra of “be the kapitbahay you want to have” means there is no badmouthing, scamming, stealing, or lying among members of Home Buddies. It is a feel good site where the spirt of kind camaraderie, respect, and happiness are spread.
Yesterday, I invited some friends to join the group. Last night, in our separate chat, we were all laughing that we are now part of the budol team. Budol which means gullible is a happy term for home buddies.
Here are some of the TOP 10 posts in Home Buddies that I truly like:

Home Buddies is now one of my havens in this pandemic, aside from Netflix and almost daily one-hour workouts. This pandemic is taking so long to end. An online community like Home Buddies reminds us that the spirit of kindness, respect, and generosity thrives.
